Meditation develops creativity, focus, presence, intuition, clarity and the ability to see things as they are, not through the lens of past conditioning or future projections.
This in-depth half-day meditation workshop is to develop and deepen your awareness and inner clarity.
Sunday 15 March, 9.30 - 12.30 pm, at Cooroy, Sunshine Coast Hinterland.
1. Yoga for the Energy Centres (Chakras)
The day begins with a 45-minute yoga class to balance your energy centres, release tension and free your breath. Through a series of stretching postures, relaxation and breathing techniques, we’ll explore the powerful connection between breath, body, and mind, unlocking the flow of vital energy to support your meditation practice and foster inner growth.
2. Yogic Meditation for Calm and Clarity.
After the yoga practice will be a guided meditation that shows you how to overcome the restless mind. Followed by a presentation and discussion. Here we will cover what meditation is, how to sit with proper posture, how it affects your brain, and how to deepen your concentration and observe the most subtle aspects of your being.
3. Hong Sau Meditation practice
Jenni, a trained Ananda meditation teacher under the guidance of Swami Kriyananda (Yogananda’s direct disciple) and the Nayaswami order, will guide you through each step of the ancient yogic mantra technique, offering personal insights and tools to help you deepen and grow in your meditation practice. There will then be a guided practice followed by a 25-minute group meditation session.
4. Discover Inner Knowledge and Self-Mastery with Raja Yoga
In the final phase of our time together, we will delve into the timeless teachings of Raja Yoga and the 8 Limbs of Ashtanga. These teachings are designed to deepen your meditation practice, cultivate inner peace, and strengthen your connection to higher consciousness. You will learn to integrate the wisdom of yoga and meditation into your daily life, helping you live with greater awareness, balance, and joy. This will also be our time to address any further questions that you may have.
