Anti-inflammatory Smoothie RecipeOct 20, 2022
This smoothie is highly medicinal and delicious! It is the best anti-inflammatory drink recipe I have ever known, it works wonders and is delicious too.
We need to consume anti-inflammatory foods to support our immune system which is always working hard to fight off viruses, chemicals and bacteria. It is also very important for the body's healing process, especially where pain and injury are present.
At times inflammation can linger leading to symptoms such as blood sugar imbalance, depression and eventually chronic diseases. All of this comes with its fair share of pain and misery.
So it's best to think of anti-inflammatory foods for a healthy diet overall. A high-raw food diet is a great place to start, and this simple yet powerful smoothie recipe will help you on your way to golden glowing radiant health, and wonderful healthy joints and mobility.
I just love this drink and I'm drinking it every day right now to help with my neck and shoulder recovery after a recent car accident.
- 1 cup chopped pineapple
- 1 banana
- 1 tbsp fresh turmeric, grated or finely chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated or finely chopped
- 1 tbsp chia seeds, presoaked for 15 minutes in 4 tbsp water
- Approximately 1-2 cups of water (enough to cover all ingredients in the blender and create a nice consistency).
- Optional: add a tbsp of coconut butter for a creamier Pina Colada experience.
Blend all ingredients together in a high-speed blender.
There you have it. Drink it every day, perhaps for your morning breakfast or afternoon tea. I make a double batch and keep a bottle in the fridge for a day or two.
Looking after your body with healthy food and yoga is essential. But please do remember what you feed your mind is so important too. In fact, it is even more important because it is your mindscape that is preceding all of your thoughts, decisions and ultimately your actions.
